Consultation & Treatment Planning
- Your treatment plan begins with understanding your dental health and what you would like to achieve. Photographs, intraoral images and available X-rays help our clinical team assess your needs. Where possible, we offer a video consultation or an in-person consultation at one of our UK offices. If neither is convenient, we can review your images and discuss your options in writing. Your proposed plan remains subject to an in-person clinical examination and any further investigations needed before treatment.
- Your care is coordinated around the procedures you need. Implant placement is carried out by our implant dentists, while smile design and cosmetic restorations are completed by our cosmetic dental team. This brings together clinicians with the relevant focus for each stage of your treatment, from implant placement to the planning and fitting of your final restorations.
- Every dental procedure carries some risk. Your dentist will explain the risks relevant to your proposed treatment and individual circumstances during your consultation. Alternative approaches may be available depending on your oral health, general health and bone condition. In some cases, only one approach may be clinically suitable for the intended result. Your dentist will explain the recommendation so you can ask questions and make an informed decision.
- Yes. A free consultation gives you the opportunity to explore your options, ask questions and discuss a personalised treatment plan without committing to treatment straight away. We can send your plan and package details for you to review in your own time, including with your partner or family. If they have questions, our team will be happy to answer them too.
Smile Design & Dental Care
- The amount of preparation depends on your natural teeth and the treatment recommended. Our aim is to preserve healthy tooth structure wherever clinically possible. Veneers cover the front surface of a tooth, while crowns cover more of the tooth and generally require more preparation. For suitable patients, E-max veneers may need only minimal preparation; composite bonding may sometimes be more appropriate. Your dentist will assess your teeth and explain the recommendation before treatment begins.
- Yes. Your smile should feel like you. We consider your facial features, existing teeth and personal preferences when planning treatment. Digital Smile Design can help us explore the proposed shape, size and shade with you, whether you prefer a subtle enhancement or a brighter smile. Your input is an important part of the process, alongside your dentist's assessment of what is clinically suitable.
- We work with Neodent, part of the Straumann Group, and can consider alternative implant brands on request. We also offer approaches such as All-on-4 and All-on-6 where clinically appropriate. You can discuss material preferences with your dentist, who will explain the suitable options. The final selection takes account of your preferences, clinical needs and agreed treatment plan.
- Please let us know if you feel anxious so we can discuss your concerns before your visit. For patients with significant dental anxiety, sedation or general anaesthesia may be available following an individual assessment. These procedures are carried out with anaesthesia professionals in an appropriate clinical setting, in accordance with applicable requirements. The suitable option depends on your medical history, the planned procedure and the anaesthesia assessment.
- We provide temporary teeth for most implant patients, where the clinical assessment and bone condition allow. These are generally fitted before you leave Antalya. Temporary teeth are usually made from acrylic and need to be treated with care. You will be advised to eat soft foods and avoid placing excessive pressure on them while your implants heal. Temporary teeth are generally included within our treatment packages; your individual proposal will confirm the arrangements.
- Some temporary sensitivity can occur after dental treatment, and the experience varies from person to person. Your teeth and gums may need time to settle. Our dental team monitors your progress while you are in Antalya, and you can contact our UK team for support after returning home. During your consultation, we will explain what recovery may involve for your proposed treatment so you know what to expect.
A coordinator you can put a face to. The same one at month one and month six.
Travel & Your Stay
- For implant placement without additional cosmetic treatment, a stay of around four nights is often sufficient. For a full smile design, we generally recommend six nights, with a treatment schedule allowing six working days. Your coordinator will confirm the exact dates around the clinic's working schedule. The healing interval following implant placement is usually around three to four months. Where bone grafting or a sinus lift is required, healing may take at least six months. Implant treatment is therefore usually arranged over separate visits. Your dentist will confirm the expected sequence and timing for your individual case before you travel.
- Yes. You are welcome to bring a partner, friend or family member. Companion accommodation may be included in your agreed package; otherwise, an additional nightly charge applies. Your coordinator will explain the arrangements and costs. VIP transfers between the airport, hotel and clinic are provided for both you and your companion as part of the agreed travel arrangements.
- If flights are included in your agreed package, the clinic covers and arranges the tickets around your availability and the treatment schedule. If flights are not included, you purchase your own tickets after confirming suitable dates with your patient coordinator. If you need to change your dates, contact your coordinator first so a suitable new treatment schedule can be agreed before you purchase replacement tickets.
Packages & Payments
- Your package is personalised and may include dental treatment, X-rays and scans, Digital Smile Design, patient coordination and UK support and aftercare, where applicable. Hotel accommodation is included in most packages, with airport, hotel and clinic transfers arranged as agreed. Flight-inclusive and flight-exclusive packages are available. If you arrange your own accommodation, we can prepare a treatment-only package. Your individual proposal will confirm the inclusions and any additional costs before you commit.
- Compare the treatment recommended, the materials, the clinical team's experience and the aftercare arrangements. Then review practical inclusions such as accommodation, transfers and patient coordination. A lower quote may cover a different treatment or level of support. We are happy to explain your LO Smiles proposal so you can compare your options with a clear understanding of what each includes.
- Yes. A proposal based on photographs alone may change following your clinical examination and X-rays, which can reveal issues requiring additional treatment. Your dentist will explain the findings, the recommended treatment and any additional cost. Additional procedures will only begin with your approval, so you understand the revised plan before proceeding.
- Your deposit secures your booking and is deducted from your total treatment balance when you attend. It is not an additional treatment charge. For patients choosing finance, the deposit is paid before the application is submitted; it does not guarantee finance approval. If your application is declined, contact the clinic directly to discuss your deposit refund. Once agreed, refunds are generally processed within seven working days. If finance has been approved and the funds received, but you subsequently cancel, the deposit is normally non-refundable. Exceptional circumstances are reviewed individually and privately. For bookings without finance, confirm the applicable cancellation terms before paying.
Lifetime on implants. Five years on veneers and crowns.
Aftercare & Guarantees
- Consistent home care and regular dental reviews are important parts of maintaining your results. Following smile design treatment, we generally recommend an annual dental check-up, with additional reviews where your dentist advises them. Our team also recommends a water flosser as part of an individually advised oral hygiene routine, alongside the other cleaning methods appropriate to your teeth and restorations. Your dentist will explain how to care for your treatment and whether additional maintenance requirements apply.
- LO Smiles offers lifetime guarantee coverage for implants and a five-year guarantee for all veneers and crowns, including permanent implant-supported restorations, subject to the applicable guarantee terms. Guarantee coverage and expected lifespan are different. A five-year guarantee does not mean your restorations need replacing after five years. With appropriate hygiene, regular reviews and suitable care, they may remain in service for many years beyond this period. Individual longevity varies, so a fixed lifespan cannot be promised. We provide an implant guarantee certificate where applicable, together with a stamped, signed laboratory guarantee for your permanent restorations.
- Yes. You can request copies of the records and documents relating to your care, including relevant scans and treatment information. Documents can be provided in physical or digital form. Depending on the request and preparation time, they may be available while you are in Antalya or sent online afterwards. Let your patient coordinator know which documents you would like.
- Contact your patient coordinator so your concern can be reviewed. LO Smiles provides supportive treatment through its UK clinics where clinically suitable. If the issue can be addressed in the UK, a return trip to Antalya may not be necessary. If care in Antalya is required, the team will explain why and discuss the next steps. The location and scope of further care depend on the clinical assessment and your treatment and guarantee terms. Any associated costs should be clarified before additional treatment or travel is arranged.
- Explain your concern to your patient coordinator, who will raise it with the treating dentist and management team for review. Your coordinator will then explain the proposed next steps and any options identified. Each concern is considered individually, taking account of the clinical findings and the circumstances of your treatment.
