Accessibility statement.
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA across every page. Where we fall short, we say so honestly — and we tell you when we plan to fix it.
Our commitment
Lo Smiles is committed to making the website accessible to people of all abilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on every public page.
Current conformance
This site has been built and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA. We test using a combination of: automated tooling (axe-core integrated into our continuous integration pipeline); manual keyboard navigation testing; manual screen reader testing using NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS; and colour-contrast verification against WCAG luminance thresholds.
What we do well
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard alone.
- Focus indication is visible and never suppressed.
- Colour contrast meets AA for normal text and AAA where reasonably practicable.
- Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion; nothing autoplays with sound.
- Forms have proper labels, error messages are programmatically associated, and required fields are clearly marked.
- Images have alternative text describing their purpose; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Page structure uses semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy.
- The locale switcher updates the document language attribute correctly.
Where we fall short
We track known issues openly. As of the last review:
- The before/after slider is operable with keyboard via the underlying range input but the visual handle is more discoverable with a mouse. We’re improving the keyboard-discovery cue.
- The virtual hospital tour modal in production is provided by a third-party (Matterport) whose accessibility we cannot fully guarantee. We provide a transcript and photographic alternative.
- The TR locale at launch covers the home page fully; deeper page localisation rolls out in Phase 2.
